Mabuhay! The Digital Rights in Asia-Pacific (DRAPAC) assembly returns for its fourth edition from June 8 to 10, 2026, in Manila, Philippines, co-hosted by the Foundation for Media Alternatives, DAKILA – the Philippine Collective for Modern Heroism, and EngageMedia.
DRAPAC26 aims to bring together over 500 activists, policymakers, technologists, academics, and members of allied movements. To ensure accessibility for participants across the region, the assembly will be a hybrid event, blending in-person attendance with robust online engagement.
Main event (Days 1-2)
Centred on the theme “Resilient Digital Futures: Co-creating Collective Resources across Movements”, DRAPAC26 will feature two days of discussions, workshops, showcases, and more activities. The main event explores the theme through two distinct tracks:
Track 1 – Co-creating shared resources
As civil society continues to adapt to shifting global dynamics and limited funding, human rights defenders must work together. This track focuses on building shared infrastructure – from platforms, systems, and databases, to skills, networks, and strategies – that can be scaled across the region.
Track 2 – Collaborative action across movements
As digital technology embeds into daily life, civil society must work across sectors to face intersectional challenges. This track focuses on bridging the gap between civil society, government, and the private sector to co-develop rights-based digital policies.
Shared infrastructure workshops (Day 3)
DRAPAC26 will host day-long thematic workshops focused on co-creating collective resources and shared tools.
Registration will open soon. In the meantime, subscribe to the DRAPAC Community Newsletter to stay updated with the latest news from the organising team.
