The Knowledge Hub is an initiative developed by a network of 11 expert practitioners from Malaysian civil society organisations (CSOs), conceived during the Luminate Foundation Convening in November 2024. This collaborative effort seeks to tackle the abuse of technology across various intersecting fields, building trust among CSOs and equipping them with evidence-based tools for advocacy in the increasingly critical domain of technology-related challenges.
The Knowledge Hub is structured around three core components:
-
Virtual Hub – A comprehensive digital repository offering access to data, analysis, and resources on emerging trends, tactics, and narratives related to technology-facilitated abuse.
-
Physical Hub – A space for in-person workshops, collaborative discussions, and deeper engagement with the tools and insights housed in the virtual hub.
-
Policy Paper and Toolkit –
-
Policy Paper: An evidence-based document that outlines key policy recommendations to address digital threats arising from the misuse of technology.
-
Toolkit: Practical, hands-on resources for civil society, journalists, and researchers to detect, document, and respond to technology abuse effectively.
