
Session 2: Data-Driven Advocacy: Data Gathering Methods
This session build members foundational knowledge and practical skills in data literacy, ethical data collection and digital investigation methods relevant to advocacy work. The session was designed as a collaborative learning space which introduces real-world approaches to data collection through case studies and web scraping tools sharing from CSO and data journalist representatives. Key components also included the introduction of data standards and documentation frameworks such as HURIDOCS and Bayanat and other web scraping tools to potentially support more credible and consistent data that is actionable in advocacy.
